- Fat freeze uses a controlled, effective and non-invasive cooling system to reduce localized, unwanted, subcutaneous fat (the fatty tissue above the muscle)
- The system works by cooling the fatty tissue to a level where by it freezes and causes cell death (adipocyte apoptosis)

The Cooltech is a two to three treatment protocol. A maximum of 4 areas (70 min each) can be done on one day. Treatments are done in 6 week intervals if treating the same area. Maintenance can be done when necessary.
There is a possibility of short-term effects such as reddening of the skin, temporary bruising, tingling of the skin and numbness of which can last up to 8 weeks depending on the side effect you may have as well as temporary burning of the skin. These effects vary from person to person.
Treatment by the Cooltech will only produce results which are visible anything from the first to third month after the treatment however results are generally seen after 2-3 weeks.
